Combat Carbine Level I (CAR-1)

A 16-hour course built around the AR-15 and its many variants, this course is designed to make the participant functional in the basic manipulations, accuracy and understanding required for performing under the stress of an armed confrontation. Including training in the mindset required to survive and win a gunfight, the program of instruction includes tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) as developed by experienced, combat-proven military and police special operations personnel. The course also provides the foundational structure upon which further advanced training is based.

Completion of this course is required in order to attend CAR-2.

Cost - $295.00 (15% discount for active/retired Law Enforcement or Military and their family members).

Required Equipment: carbine with sling, spare magazine(s) and pouch, long pants and athletic/service footwear, ear protection (muff type, no “foamies”), eye protection (ballistic wrap around type preferred) and/or prescription glasses, knee pads, elbow pads, 400 rounds of ammunition.

Combat Carbine Level II (CAR-2)

A 16-hour course designed to build on the TTPs received in CAR-1. This course utilizes additional situational training exercises and introduces the participant to TTPs for use inside homes, workplaces and other structures. Utilizing live-fire exercises to review and enhance combat skills, the participant will also be exposed to reactionary and moving targets, as well as to force-on-force training events. Participants who successfully complete the program will have demonstrated a high level of functional safety with their firearm, a high level of competence and accuracy in utilizing their firearm, an ability to identify and engage appropriate stationary and moving targets, and a clear understanding of the principles of armed combat with the carbine.

Completion of this course is required to attend CAR-3.

Required Equipment: carbine with sling, spare magazine(s) and pouch, preferred pistol/revolver with appropriate holster, pistol/revolver spare magazine(s) or speed/strip loader and appropriate pouches, long pants and athletic/service footwear, ear protection (muff type, no “foamies”), eye protection (ballistic wrap around type preferred) and/or prescription glasses, knee pads, elbow pads, athletic groin protector (male), athletic breast protection (female), 300 rounds of standard ammunition, 50 rounds of standard pistol/revolver ammunition, 50 rounds of frangible carbine ammunition, 50 rounds of Simunition™ (frangible and Simunition™ rounds can be obtained from SRW Inc.).

Combat Carbine Level III (CAR-3)

A 16-hour course which reinforces and hones the skills and TTPs learned in CAR-1 and CAR-2, this course utilizes additional training apparatus, including a computerized situational simulator, to further develop the combat skills of the participant. The participant is also equipped with empty-hand techniques in order to defeat a sudden assault and fight to maintain control of their carbine. Upon completion of this course, the participant will have reached a level of personal combat skills and capability achieved by very few members of the armed society.
